Born in Cambodia in 1957, this self trained artist, SAVANN THAV, has always built his universe and sought new forms close to nature the last fourty years. His works project a singular freedom, as if his calling is inhabited by an urgency exceeding all others.  His artistic work cunningly reflects his personal experience and a universal vision of humanity.

What then is his secret key which he masters, yet still seeks ? He seems always in research with sagacity of universality art

His evolutive creations alternate between "Avenue de la République" à Paris where he is working as a famous hair dresser and where creating his artworks in parisian nights, dreaming at his cambodian country and the special lighting of the nature there. So far... 

Creating harmony he always research the feeling of the forms and colors.

Double artist life for his goal of solo exhibitions almost every year in Phnom Penh and in different places, restaurants and galleries of his friends in Cambodia ; and hereby for the first time in Siem Reap.

Known in Paris where he is actually exhibiting at the Japanese Gallery Nichido, he is one of the famous artists in Cambodia and the lobby of the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra is happy to welcome his art during three months for this exhibition SEASON RESEARCH. From February to April 2024.
