THUN Dina was born in 1989 in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. In 2013, he finished a training course on “Pencil Drawing Techniques” at the Yamada School of Art in Phnom Penh. A year later, he earned his Bachelor of Art in “Oil Painting” at the Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh. In 2017, Dina’s painting was selected for the 81st Shinseisaku International Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. Dina is an independent artist whose works are inspired by his living environment and especially the change from a harmonious rural life to an urban one where perceptions of his youth are evolving to take shape. His paintings manifest his own life experiences, and he would like to share them with the public.
